how it works.

BMA is structured like a consignment gallery, with some lower-cost pieces purchased outright. Accepted works are housed and insured in the shop. 50% of each rental revenue goes directly to you. Unlike traditional galleries, which take a significant percentage of the purchase price for your original works, with us you receive 100% of the purchase price over time through rental revenues. When the purchase price of a piece has been met through rental revenues, the physical work then belongs to the shop, but the copyright remains yours (always & forever). If the piece doesn't pay for itself within 18 months, BMA may choose to pay out the amount owing and keep the piece, or return it to you. Either way, you keep what you’ve earned.

TV and film have an established art rental economy. Individual pieces can rent from twenty bucks to hundreds of dollars per week. Purchase and rental prices will be arranged on a piece-by-piece basis in line with film industry pricing. (Because we're offering a range of media, a standard equation can't be used to decide the rental price of a piece in relation to the purchase price.) Artists are paid every 3 months.
